Cadet Life
Cadet life is not easy coming in as a freshman. As a fish you will be pushed to your limits so that you will know how far you can take yourself whenever any challenge faces you. You will live an entire year unlike a normal college student without a tv or carpet and things that most people take for granted. Fish will learn to take care of themselves, meet lifelong friends that will be there to marry you and one day burry you, become responsible men who know honor, integrity, time management, and civil responsibility. Company E-2 expects dedicated freshman of whom are interested in taking the path less traveled and wish to better themselves physically, mentally, and even spiritually. You will be challenged, you will meet the best friends for the rest of you life, and you will have the experience of a life time.
fish Year
In order to lead your fish one day, you must first learn to follow. Fish are taught that if they are given a task it must be done. Time management is taught here when fish have grades to accommodate on top of Corps activities. Our fish are specifically taught respect and humility due to having reveille in our outfit. The fish will learn to respect her first semester and later earn her. Last but not least are the buddies. Fish will become more than just friends that hang out on the weekends or study for class together. They will spend hours on end with each other and become friends for life.
Sophomore Year
As a sophomore, you will be put directly in charge of 2-3 fish. Those sophomores will be solely responsible for making sure that the fish stay on top of their grades and are making the outfit better. Sophomores are not thrown in with the wolves yet. They are told what to do by the juniors and then the sophomores are the direct leaders. Although you may not have complete freedom to do what you want, it is a taste of leadership that prepares you to later become a junior.
Junior Year
This is your first year as a white belt. You will be an indirect leader in that you plan a weekly schedule and then tell the sophomores how do go about reaching your goals for the week. Juniors are just about free to do what they please. First semester juniors tend to have a lower GPR than previous semsters due to having a TV for the first time and not being required to sit mandatory study hours. However, this is nowhere near as low as the freshman student's GPR that are not in the Corps that have TV's.
Senior Year
This is when cadets learn executive leadership. They don’t implement anything but rather do more managerial tasks. This is comparable to the principle of a school. Seniors finally get to wear their boots and have their boot dance in the fall. In the spring they are usually busy with graduation yet all of that seems to fall away when Parents Weekend and Final Review come around.
