Howdy Parents,

It is really motivating to hear from all of you and to see how motivated your sons are. This FOW has gone very well and we are really looking forward to what’s around the corner. The freshman will be receiving their first Fish haircut soon and we will definitely post some pictures for that.

If you would like to see pictures and videos of not only E-2 but other outfits, please go to the “FOW class of 2015” Facebook Page. This page has new videos updated daily along with information on the day’s schedule of events. Feel free to ask questions or just wish the freshman (and upperclassmen) good luck. You can find the page by clicking on the link below.

If your son is just starting his senior year in high school, it is time for your family to start planning the best times of your lives. Many parents are concerned about their sons leaving home for college. Many mothers leave their sons saying, "Call me every night", "Make sure you study", and best of all "see you next weekend." These are not spoken by the mothers of E-2. In Company E-2, we plan on having the mother's say, "I will come visit you for the Texas lunch-in with Reveille." Rebel E has a very active mothers club and many events throughout the year for you to see your son grow. From Lunch-ins with Miss Reveille Ma'am to catered lunches at the football march-ins, your family will become closer than ever. It doesn't have to be that dreaded goodbye that so many parents fear.

Not that mothers are the only ones letting go. Many of the dads are ready for their son to get out of the house. After the very first week of being in the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M in Company E-2 your son's demeanor will have changed dramatically. He will stand up straighter, look you in the eye when he speaks, and possibly even answer you with a "yes sir". We keep all of the fathers involved by hosting events such as a Father Son Golf Tournament or a Skeet Shoot. With all of the connections that Company E-2 offers, you will be setting your son up for success.

All parents stay in touch with each other to plan the next trip together. Many times the fish will go on buddy trips to a family’s house. This will overwhelm most families but not the Aggie family. Parents always seem to show up with food and bedding for the fish to have a good meal and a great night’s sleep. We have an E-2 Parents List serve to aid this process and the commander sends out notifications throughout the year of your son’s accomplishments.

Many times parents are unable to attend events throughout the year. My mother lives 10 hours away and it is very difficult for her to attend a lot of my March-Ins. However, I am very fortunate to have several "adopted" mothers that take lots of pictures for me and send them to my mom. Most of the parents post the pictures on the parent list serve and now, on the E-2 Facebook page.

If your son comes to E-2, he will not only have the experience of a lifetime but so will you!
